Abstract:
The outdoor signal layout plan of the main line in urban rail transit is the basis for preparing other subsequent drawings of the signal system. To improve the design efficiency and quality of the signal layout plane, the parameterized design software for signal layout plane was studied and developed through investigating and analyzing different design requirements of the signal layout plane for urban rail transit signal engineering projects across China. This design software provides easy-to-use graphical interactive interface for signal designers and can create, read and write DWG files directly without installing AutoCAD. By adopting parameterized design, different types of component elements of the signal layout plan are abstracted and defined as parameterized templates, which not only makes this design software be compatible with various differentiated design requirements such as different graphic symbols and equipment encoding rules but also provides design artifacts for the signal designer to rapidly design the signal layout plan for a specific signal engineering project. Besides, its underlying data can support further development of other expansion functions such as cable path diagram and project quantity statistics. This design software has been used for the design of signal engineering projects of several urban rail transits and it can cater to different design requirements and help accelerate design progress and reduce human errors.
