Fast reading method for massive point cloud data based on memory mapped file

  • 摘要: 针对海量点云数据读取效率低下的问题,本文提出一种基于内存映射文件的快速读取方法。通过分析虚拟内存系统模式及内存映射文件的工作机理,将磁盘文件映射至虚拟内存,采用内存映射文件对大数据量文件进行存取。试验结果表明,与传统基于I/O方式的数据存取方式相比,本文提出的方法能够有效提高读取效率4倍以上。
    Abstract: To solve the problem of inefficient reading of massive point cloud data, this article presented a fast read method based on memory mapped file. By analyzing the working mechanism of the virtual memory system and the memory mapped file, the disk file was mapped to the virtual memory, and the large data volume file was accessed by the memory mapped file. The experimental results showed that the proposed method could effectively improve the reading efficiency more than 4 times by comparing with the traditional I / O-based data access method.
