Data-driven based method for bridge rapid modeling

Abstract: In order to implement rapid conversion from 2D design schemes to 3D design schemes for bridges, and adapt to frequent modifications of schemes and the diversity and complexity of modeling, this paper proposed a data-driven based method for rapid modeling of bridge. The paper extracted and calculated the three-dimensional spatial information, bridge span coordinate information, and bridge span mileage of the route and bridge centerline based on Computer-Aided Design (CAD) data, used Building Information Modeling (BIM) secondary development technology, implemented a diversified parametric modeling of the entire line based on design schemes and terrain information. By using component rule constraints and spatial bounding box integration methods, the geometric parameters and spatial positions of the model are automatically reviewed, checked, and adjusted, the paper implemented precise positioning and seamless splicing of bridge component models. This study provides a new solution for the automation and intelligent modeling of high-speed railway bridges, as well as a reference for modeling other types of bridges.
