Abstract: In order to effectively improve the railway software research and development capability and make the developed software better meet the needs of railway development, this article analyzed the current software development status and common problems of China Railway Kunming Group Corporation Limited, such as data asset utilization, network security protection, big data application, etc., and put forward some improvement suggestions for software research and development, such as planning software development strategy, overall planning and managing network information security, software operation and maintenance, speeding up the basic construction of information system research and development, accelerating the application of big data technology, and strengthening cooperation and exchanges.
