Abstract:
With the growing demand for container transportation, container reach stackers (hereafter referred to as reach stackers) have become key equipment for handling operations at railway logistics yards owing to their high mobility and good stability. However, traditional operations relied on manual work and suffered from difficult information collection, confusion between empty and loaded containers, and prominent safety risks. Targeting the digital transformation requirements of reach stackers at railway logistics yards, this paper designed a corresponding digital system for reach stackers, described the system composition and overall architecture, investigated key technologies including operational digital integration, automatic identification of empty and loaded containers, and panoramic stitching, and carried out demonstration applications. Practical applications show that the system effectively improves the operational safety and efficiency of railway logistics yards, and provides replicable technical schemes and engineering references for the popularization of digital reach stackers in railway logistics yards.
