Abstract:
To address prominent issues in Information Technology (IT) equipment management of railway information computer rooms, including heavy reliance on manual inventory checking with low efficiency and mismatches between account records and physical on-site assets, this paper proposed a multi-technology collaborative solution integrating Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), intelligent Internet of Things (IoT) and computer vision. The paper designed and constructed a dedicated asset monitoring and management system for railway computer room IT equipment and elaborated on its overall architecture and core functions. By adopting hierarchical IoT sensing technology and computer vision-enabled abnormal image identification technology, the paper established an integrated management and control system covering full-life-cycle inventory checking and real-time monitoring of IT equipment. Field tests in a railway data center computer room verify that the solution substantially improves the operational efficiency and data accuracy of IT asset inventory and online monitoring, reduces manual maintenance workloads and potential risks of environmental anomalies and equipment failures, and provides reliable support for safe and refined operation and maintenance of IT equipment in railway information computer rooms.
