Abstract: To reduce the workload of external investigation of land acquisition in railway design projects and improve the accuracy of statistics of land acquisition, a railway land acquisition quantity calculation method based on spatial analysis is proposed by utilizing the land use database and basic farmland database from the departments of land and resources management, which can realize fast and accurate quantity statistics of land acquisition in a railway design project. Compared to traditional quantity statistics of land acquisition relying on laborious manual work of external investigation, this method can greatly improve the efficiency and the accuracy of quantity statistics of land acquisition and bring certain economic benefits to a railway design project.
